Non-custodial USDC wallet for recipients and merchants β SDP-enabled, passkey/MPC, SEP-30 recovery, offramping, auto-compounding yield
Sozu Wallet
Sozu Wallet is the non-custodial stablecoin wallet for recipients (and later merchants) in the Sozu stack. It enables secure self-custody, payments, savings, and cash access β all powered by USDC on Stellar and designed for real-world use in Latin America.
Overview
Sozu Wallet turns stablecoins into usable financial infrastructure. Recipients receive USDC from NGOs via the SozuPay dashboard (or from any Stellar Disbursement Platform when Sozu is registered as an SDP provider). They hold, spend, or convert to local currency through integrated offramps β with no seed phrases, no custodial risk, and minimal friction.
Key features:
- Non-custodial USDC on Stellar β Your keys, your funds. Wallet never holds user principal.
- SDP-enabled β Any SDP sender can disburse directly to a Sozu wallet address.
- Passkey + MPC signing β Biometric auth and MPC for signing; no seed phrases for everyday users.
- SEP-30 recovery β Wallet recovery via Stellarβs SEP-30 standard so users can regain access if they lose their device or password.
- ARS / local currency display β Balances and flows shown in familiar local currency for real-world payments.
- Instant cash access β Offramping (e.g. MoneyGram USDC β ARS) so users can get local cash when they need it; future Sozu Anchor for proprietary on/off ramp.
- Auto-compounding yield β Idle USDC can earn yield via integrated DeFi (e.g. Blend/Defindex) without locking liquidity.
Who Itβs For
- Year 1: NGO microcredit recipients (e.g. MUJERES 2000 in Argentina). They receive disbursements in Sozu Wallet, hold or spend USDC, and offramp to ARS.
- Year 2+: Merchants use the same wallet (or Business Wallet) to receive USDC payments, track revenue, and access yield and revenue-based credit.
Security & Recovery
- Passkey authentication β Biometric login; no passwords to store or remember.
- MPC signing β Keys are distributed; no single point of failure for signing.
- SEP-30 recovery β Stellarβs standard for account recovery so users donβt lose funds if they lose their device.
- Non-custodial β Sozu never holds user funds; all movement is on-chain and transparent.
Offramping: Today and Tomorrow
- Today / near term: MoneyGram (e.g. USDC β ARS cash-out) for recipients in Argentina.
- Future: Sozu Anchor β Proprietary fiat on/off ramp where regulation allows, with local liquidity and full control of the rail.
User Experience
- View balance in USDC and local currency (e.g. ARS).
- Send and receive USDC to any Stellar address.
- Receive disbursements from NGOs (SozuPay) or any SDP sender.
- Offramp to cash via integrated partners (MoneyGram today; Sozu Anchor later).
- Idle USDC earns auto-compounding yield in the background.
